The use of statin blood thinners may be protective against adverse outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), especially individuals with human papillomavirus (HPV), according to findings from a large, prospective study presented June 22 at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Virtual Meeting II (Abstract 3391).
