Delandistrogene moxeparvovec is a gene transfer therapy approved in the United States, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar for the treatment of ambulatory patients aged 4 through 5 years with a confirmed Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD)-causing mutation in the DMD gene. It was developed to address the underlying cause of DMD through targeted skeletal, respiratory, and cardiac muscle expression of delandistrogene moxeparvovec micro-dystrophin, an engineered, functional dystrophin protein. Drawing on clinical trial experience from Study 101 (NCT03375164), Study 102 (NCT03769116), and ENDEAVOR (Study 103; NCT04626674), we outline practical considerations for delandistrogene moxeparvovec treatment.

Since the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, abortion bans or restrictions have been enacted across half of the country.1,2 The purpose of this editorial is to discuss the practical implications of the Dobbs decision for pediatric neurologists, our patients, and their families/caregivers. As a microcosm of our polarized society, the pediatric neurology community likely contains a multitude of views on abortion and its regulation.

Anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody disease (MOGAD) is a type of acquired demyelinating disease that is distinct from multiple sclerosis (MS) and aquaporin-4 antibody neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4-NMOSD). Leptomeningeal enhancement (LME) has been reported in children and adults with MOGAD, and in adults with MS and AQP4-NMOSD, but less is known about LME in pediatric-onset MS (POMS) and pediatric AQP4-NMOSD. Here we compare rates of LME in children with MOGAD, POMS, and AQP4-NMOSD.

Examples include imaging in neuro-oncology, autism diagnosis, diagnosis from charts, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and neonatal neurology. Topics such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning are discussed.

Infantile botulism is an uncommon diagnosis and rarer still in the neonatal period. We describe three cases of neonatal-onset botulism that presented with symptoms typically (hypotonia, constipation, facial diplegia) or atypically seen in older infants (encephalopathy, seizures, and hypothermia). Our series shows a wider spectrum of clinical presentations in patients with neonatal-onset botulism. Our report also suggests that neonatal-onset botulism should be considered more broadly in the hypotonic infant, especially as the condition is treatable with intravenous botulinum-specific immune globulin.
