Ablation of accessory pathways in different anatomical locations using focal pulsed field ablation. - 11 month(s) ago

Ablation of accessory pathways (AP) is cornerstone for treatment of patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and manifestation of atrioventricular reentry tachycardia. Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is a new type of non-thermal form of energy source delivered to the underlying tissue via the ablation catheter and used for ablation of arrhythmic substrates.

Duration of Atrial Fibrillation: How Much is Too Much? - 1 year(s) ago

International guidelines categorise atrial fibrillation (AF) largely upon duration: paroxysmal (PAF; intermittent episodes lasting 12 months) or permanent (where patient and clinician agree to discontinue the pursuit of rhythm control and accept continuous AF)(1). Whilst catheter ablation (CA) of AF is an established, guideline-recommended approach to rhythm control(1), it is recognised that outcomes are worse for those with PeAF or LSPeAF, as compared with PAF(2).
